This blog will be super short, as there’s little sleep in me!
Luggage was the major theme for our travel day – beginning with the time before we left the house to the time we arrived in Norway. As we are taking the suitcases out to the garage, one suitcase wheeled funny. Lo and behold, I had a cracked wheel, ready to fall off. Luckily found, we quickly transferred my things into another suitcase and off we went!
We always knew we would have a short turn around in Amsterdam, but it became even shorter with a delayed flight, and wheelchair assistance for Rebecca delayed even more! Happily, we got on the flight after mechanical difficulties on that plane caused a delay.
However, our luggage wasn’t so lucky and remained in Amsterdam. I am ‘supposed’ to get mine tonight. At first, Rebecca was told she’d get hers tomorrow, and the latest email says it might ‘be days!” This once again shows, how important it is to carry all the important things with you!!!
One great thing about flying in and out of Amsterdam – seeing the beautiful fields of colorful tulips!
We have contacted Amy and Kathleen about some suggestions for the Amsterdam transfer. It’s always good to have folks scout ahead!
We spent the afternoon in Central Sentrum Oslo in beautiful, sunny skies, and a temperature in the high 50’s. It’s obvious that the city is getting ready for Syttende Mai! Bunads and flags are everywhere!
